Time to get back to posting pictures of the soaps I'm working on for the Holiday craft shows and also to sell on Etsy. This sweet smelling gingerbread man (yes, he smells like gingerbread!)
is a hit with everyone!

>

I also did this snowflake in a few colors as well as the white and clear one pictured. I promise I'll take more pictures as I work on them this week and get them posted on here for you to enjoy!

New Toy

Little Granddaughter loves looking at all the bright colors on my Pepsi bottle, so
I gave her one to play with! It made such wonderful noises as it was twirled all
around on the high chair tray! She had a blast with it!

First Word

Well, you've gotta take it for what it's worth and tell yourself it's the
first word, even if it's just learning sounds!! It's cute no matter what!

Little Models

I promised we'd have our sweet little granddaughter
model her new bonnet. (You can see more pictures
of it in the last blog entry). She wasn't in the best
of moods since she was just 3 days out from her surgery.
She's a little trooper and wanted to show everyone how
cute she looks in it.

My silly Granddaughter that wants me to make
her a skirt the same as the burp cloth I posted about
below, decided she should model it. What a girl!!!

She couldn't figure out why I was saying I couldn't make her a skirt out of a diaper! She has never seen cloth diapers and thinks of a diaper as a disposable!! How funny!

Newest Project

Sorry I haven't been posting any new soap pictures. (I may have to change the name of my blog!) I just haven't been making soap lately. I've been doing a little sewing.......have a lot of mending to do that's just waiting for me! I hate mending!

Remember the little bonnet I made for my Grandbaby? Well, I've decided to make her another one. I bought the material the same
day that I bought the material for the first one. About time I get
around to this one!

Here's a pic of one side of it.

I made it reversible, so here's a pic of the other side.

Two hats in one! I hope she likes it. I couldn't get a picture of her with it on since she's had two surgeries in 5 days! She's just coming home from the hospital
today. Poor little baby! I'll try to get a picture of her next week.

I also had made some burp cloths for her baby shower. Now I decided I wanted to have
a few cute ones for Grandma to use too.

Here are the first ones I made.

And here is the one I made for me.

My 13 yr. old Granddaughter wants me to make her a skirt like this. She thinks it
would make a better skirt than a burp cloth. We'll see.......

I Received an Award Today!

Now I get to give an award!

I received this very heavy, prestigious award from
Pixeltrashamania. You need to check out her blog full
of fun pictures, great ideas, directions for a cute headband,
and links to some delicious recipes. She also created my wonderful
new banner at the top of this blog. Thank you Tami!
This has to be the best award I've ever won (of course, it's the first award I've won). I'm so excited!
As you can tell, I have a lot to be excited about. Here's my award!

Zombie Chicken Award reads:

"The blogger who receives this award believes in the Tao of the zombie chicken - excellence, grace and persistence in all situations, even in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. These amazing bloggers regularly produce content so remarkable that their readers would brave a raving pack of zombie chickens just to be able to read their inspiring words. As a recipient of this world-renowned award, you now have the task of passing it on to at least 5 other worthy bloggers. Do not risk the wrath of the zombie chickens by choosing unwisely or not choosing at all…

I award the Zombie Chicken to......

1. Linda Krug - Gimmeahaller's Crafty Little Things
2. Pam - Cookie Crazie
3. Thenester - Nesting Place
4. Sitstahood - The Secret is in the Sauce
5. Linda MacDonald - Restyled Home

Now go my five pretties, live the life of the Zombie Chicken and bestow the award to others.

Thank you so much Tami for awarding me!

New Party Site

My soap is being offered on a new site that just went live this week! Hooray!
She is offering all types of party favors and boxes, etc. All the products that she's going to offer are not up for sale yet as she's still working on the site. I think she's done a great job so far. If you know of anyone that is planning a wedding, baby shower, or bridal shower, send them on over to www.divaentertains.com to check it out. They may find something really neat there.

Wouldn't this soap look so cute in one of these gift bags? I've never seen such cute bags in my whole life!

Trip to Tami's House

This past weekend we went to visit Tami, Jeff, Graham & Vaughn. It was a fun weekend. Jeff made some amazing food on the grill! He did a leg of lamb and we made gyros. Yummmmy! He also did a chicken and some sausage.
We went fabric shopping on Monday. I wanted to find some nice material to make Ella a new little bonnet. I had wanted her to be able to wear mine that I had when I was a baby, but before I remembered it, she had outgrown it. It was given to me by my Great Great Aunt Bertha. She worked in the children's department in Kaufmann's in Pitts. for many years and always sent cute gifts for the new babies in the family. It has seen better days anyway since it's already 60 years old! Here's a picture of the old bonnet.

By evening I was getting itchy fingers and had to get moving on the new bonnet.
I tore my bonnet apart and used it for a pattern and made it bigger. Thank goodness Tami now has a sewing machine and I was able to sew it together! We had fun working on the bonnet and Tami worked on a new headband. We did a lot of laughing about our different methods of sewing and also about me making my whole wardrobe the year I was entering 9th grade! I hope I can find pictures of those outfits to show Tami! Everything was coordinated so it was all mix and match. I was so proud of myself!
Here's the pictures of the new bonnet with the baby attached!

Sprinkle Ducks

I decided to try something different with my ducks and used
candy sprinkles on them! My Granddaughter was upset about
it and asked me why I was wasting good sprinkles on soap!
I thought they looked SOap Cute and were worth 'wasting'!

A Tisket A Tasket

A pink and green basket!
Isn't this just the cutest little basket? My daughter sent me
the pattern and she designed some of them for me. I think they are just precious and would make a great teacher thank you gift. They aren't selling well at craft shows though. Any ideas?

Some more soap pictures

Ok, here are some more pictures of the soaps I've been working on for my Easter craft shows. Aren't they cute?
I hope the craft shows are profitable with
the economy the way it is!
I feel sorry for people that are losing their jobs.
My son is waiting for a call from his plant today. He
will probably be jobless when he's done
talking to them. He's planning on going
to school and studying something so he can
go into another field of work.

Easter is coming! Time to soap!

Easter is just around the corner. I've been making soap all week.
I've put a few pictures up for your enjoyment.
I have craft shows every

weekend from now till Palm Sunday......sometimes two in one weekend!
I'll be busy, that's for sure!

Naming my new blog

My daughter and I were trying to come up with a name for my blog and were coming up
empty handed. I told her to ask my Grandson's and see if they could come up with something.
She told them we wanted the words cute and soap in the title. Graham's first reaction was, "Cute Soap" then said, "Soap cute"! That put the idea in my daughter's head for That's SOap CUTE. How cute is that? Out of the mouths of babes!

First Blog

This is my first ever try at blogging.
I want to be able to show you my SOap CUTE creations!
Since it's getting close to Valentine's Day, I'll start with
my newest Valentine creations. This cute cupid's heart
is scented with a Victoria Secret's type scent called Desire.
